Spoonbill
Did you know the Roseate Spoonbill is 1 of 6 species of spoonbills in the world and the only one found in the Americas. The other 5 spoonbills (Eurasian, Royal, African, Black-faced, and Yellow-billed) occurs in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia.
The Roseate Spoonbills, as it turns out, has something familiar with human hair loss but instead of hair they loose their feathers from the top of their head as they get older.
The oldest recorded Roseate Spoonbill was at least 15 years, 10 months old when it was recaptured and released during a scientific study in Florida.
